Business is up, Blogging is down.

I cannot believe Summer is over and Fall is upon us. I cannot believe we are as busy as we have ever been! Ever! Even after Hugo busy. I cannot believe I have not posted on this blog since the Spring.

Obviously this new way of reaching those near and dear to me has taken a backseat. I have so much to say about a business I love, yet no time to say it. My typical day is 12 hours long. I tell people I have finally reached a point in my life where I can work half days.....seven am to seven pm. Those 12 hours each day are filled up by helping people with the hundred things that can go wrong with their houses.
We pride ourselves on great service and it is demanding at times, but we have never held up a closing because we couldn't get a job finished on time.

I fully understand what realtors go through as they try and get to the closing. It is a mine field. It is no cake walk.  Once a contract is signed, the clock starts ticking and your team goes to work. The appraiser, home inspector, CL-100 inspector, closing attorney, lender, surveyor, insurance agent, and contractor all provide their respective service to assist in selling the house. There are deadlines for each aspect and one missed deadline can cause the house of cards to tumble. I get it. I have been doing this for ten years. I have put in my 10,000 hours, to steal a phrase from Malcolm Gladwell in the book Outliers. (If you haven't read it, drop everything and get it. It is fascinating if you like a well crafted story of success.)

So, I haven't taken up blogging like I thought I would back in the spring, but I have helped get a hundred houses sold. And hey, that's another hundred less things to worry about!
